TechnoNICOL Corporation will supply 275,000 m² of waterproofing materials to build a complex of constructions of Main Olympic village.
In Sochi, in Imeretinsk lowland, there is underway an active construction of the Olympic object — Main Olympic village. The executor in charge and the main investor of the project is 'RogSybAl' LLC, a member of 'Glavstroy' Company, and the general contractor is a European company 'Strabag SE'. The complex consists of numerous structures and buildings united in 8 construction areas. The total area of the object is 200 - 250 thousand sq.m.
TechnoNICOL Corporation has won the tender for delivery of waterproofing materials to build the basement and the flat roof. In the beginning, the project to provide waterproofing properties for the basement was supposed to use PVC membranes of a foreign manufacturer. However, the offer made by TechnoNICOL to use bituminous-polymeric materials of the premium class was regarded as the most effective and reliable. The offered waterproofing system had perfectly proved itself on a number of important federal objects. The total volume of the waterproofing materials for the basements makes up about 110,000 sq.m., the volume of deliveries — 220,000 sq. m.
Besides this, in 2012 TechnoNICOL won the tender for delivery of materials for the flat roof of the Main Olympic village where the planned volume is estimated as 55,000 sq. m. The materials to be used are as follows: Теchnoelast ЭПП, Primer, PVC membranes Logicroof, ТECHNILIGHT OPTIMA, XPS TECHNONICOL, a water drain system of PVC ТН.
Waterproofing materials produced by TechnoNICOL meet the Russian climatic requirements (from the southern up to the most northern regions), have an excellent flexibility at low temperatures as well as high thermal stability. The bituminous-polymeric material Тechnoelast ЭПП is a modified, welded roofing and waterproofing material with high reliability features. It is designed for making a roofing carpet of buildings and constructions as the bottom layer, and also for waterproofing of basements and other constructions to ensure the high standard of reliability. Тechnoelast ЭПП is recommended by NIISF РААСН and the Central Scientific & Research Center for Industrial Buildings to use in all climatic areas.
