Application areas

Reflective mastic for protection of roofs against UV-radiation and thermal aging. Use for:
– Installation of protective layer on new bitumen, polymer-bitumen mastic roofs;
– Recovery of protective layer on old bitumen, polymer-bitumen mastic and roll-fed roofs;
– Corrosion protection of roof coverings.

Description of material

TECHNONICOL protective aluminum mastic #57 is a multicomponent material consisting of oil bitumen, modified by polymers, aluminum pigment, technological additives and organic solvent. The elastic insulating cover effectively protects bitumen roofs against UV-radiation and heating, and metal roofs against corrosion.

Method of applicationBefore application and during use carefully mix mastic for uniform distribution of the aluminum pigment. Apply mastic using a small paint brush, a roller or through use of an airless spraying unit. It is recommended to be applied in two layers of mastic. Mastic surface coverage for one layer:
– on mastic roof — 0.4 kg/m2;
– on old roll-fed roof — 0.6 kg/m2;
– on metal roof — 0.4 kg/m2.

Storage

Store in a dry place protected against sunlight at a temperature between –20°C and +30°C. Guaranteed storage period — 12 months.
