TechnoNICOL materials in international projects
Construction of distribution center is an ambitious project, which includes the appearance of unique buildings and equipment in the «Klaipeda Smelte». This will be one of the most modern container terminals in the Baltic Sea region. The main reason for this problem is the inability of cargo distribution from large ships to small ships, for export to other European ports. Opening of the international container distribution center is planned in mid-2014.
Due to the fact that the terminal is located on the sea coast, in the construction were used materials resistant to strong wind loadings and exposure to moisture. Built constructions should to withstand even a violent storm. Thus, for roof waterproofing were used only materials with high flexibility, durability and resistance to stretching.
As roofing materials, that fully comply with these requirements for operation, were used MIDA BALT PV S4b and MIDA BALT PV S3s, produced at the TechnoNICOL plant in Lithuania - MIDA LT. For roof heat-insulation of the new distribution center was used system of non-accessible roof with installation of heat-insulation materials on steel corrugated sheet.
We are confident that the new terminal in Klaipeda port will draw a large number of ships and reliable materials TechnoNICOL will provide a long service life.
